About Us

Trauma‑Informed Online Therapist I’m Karen - a therapist who believes in gentle, steady, whole‑person healing. My work is shaped by the people I’ve supported, the experiences I’ve lived, and the deep respect I have for the human mind and body. I’ve spent over 11 years helping adults and young people navigate anxiety, trauma, overwhelm, and the quieter struggles that often go unseen. What matters most to me is creating a space where you feel safe enough to soften, breathe, and be fully yourself. I became a therapist because I’ve seen how powerful it is when someone finally feels understood - not judged, not rushed, not expected to “be fine”, but genuinely met where they are. I’ve always been drawn to the inner world: the stories we carry, the patterns we repeat, the parts of us that protect, the parts that ache, and the parts that long to be seen. Supporting people through this work feels like a privilege I never take lightly. I care deeply about emotional safety, going at your pace, honouring your lived experience, working with the nervous system, not against it, creating a space where nothing is “too much”, helping you reconnect with your inner steadiness, supporting the parts of you that have been carrying too much My approach is warm, intuitive, and grounded in compassion.

Approach

Sessions are calm, focused spaces where you can exhale, settle, and work toward meaningful change at a pace that feels right for you. Whether we meet in Potters Bar or online, the atmosphere is discreet, grounded, and centred on your comfort. We work in short, purposeful steps—gentle reprocessing, simple experiential practices, and small between‑session experiments—to soften old patterns and open up new ways of thinking and feeling. Everything is collaborative. We agree on clear, achievable goals, move in tune with your rhythm, and use quick, effective interventions when they genuinely support your progress. This approach is well‑suited to adolescents and adults who want steady, practical shifts toward a calmer, more confident daily life. It’s a supportive, down‑to‑earth way of working that helps you feel safer inside yourself while building the skills and self‑trust to move forward.

Basic Information

Services

Karen offers one‑to‑one creative therapy sessions for young people and adults who want a safe place to make sense of difficult feelings and experiences. Sessions are relaxed, non‑directive, and shaped around what feels comfortable for you, so you can explore at your own pace without pressure or judgement. You’re welcome to bring whatever feels important—thoughts, emotions, memories, or worries—without needing to explain everything in detail. I may offer a gentle, effective modality that helps re‑wire unhelpful patterns quickly and safely, without requiring you to share uncomfortable or deeply personal specifics. This means you can work through what’s been overwhelming while still feeling protected and in control. The space is confidential, accepting, and grounded in warmth. Through creative expression, playfulness, and reflective conversation, you can soften old patterns, reconnect with your strengths, and begin to feel more settled, confident, and understood.
