Mr Siphesihle Mwelase

Licensed Clinical Psychologists

I am a Black Male Clinical psychologist predominately working with adolescents and adults. I am primarily psychodynamically orientated, however, I am adaptive in my approach in order to cater to client's unique needs.

About Me

When you're navigating life's challenges, I offer a grounded space to explore your experiences. As a clinical psychologist working with adolescents and adults, my approach is primarily psychodynamic, yet adaptive. We tailor sessions to your unique needs, helping you make sense of patterns and foster lasting change. I aim to create a collaborative environment where you feel truly heard.

Approach

Sessions move at a steady, curious pace that balances depth with practical steps. I offer in-person sessions in Johannesburg and virtual appointments in English or isiZulu, creating a grounded space wherever you are. I listen for recurring themes, gently connect past experiences to current choices, and use a psychodynamic lens alongside mindfulness and reflective tasks to support insight and daily change. Many adolescents and adults navigating transitions, grief, anxiety or relationship strain find this way of working helpful.
