About Me

I began my career working with patients diagnosed with schizophrenia in a rehabilitation centre. My work there encouraged me to pursue further training. I completed my clinical psychology training at the Ranchi Institute of Neuro-Psychiatry and Allied Sciences (RINPAS), where I received rigorous training in diagnosis, assessment, and psychological interventions. I qualified as a Clinical Psychologist in 2016. Over the years, I have worked in diverse settings, including non-governmental organizations, general hospitals, and university mental health clinics, with patients experiencing psychosomatic conditions, psychiatric illnesses, and relational difficulties.

Approach

I provide longer-term psychotherapy and use a psychoanalytical approach with my work. I actively work with my patient to help them understand what they are going through in their mind. Often, people may feel they are trapped in their past and trapped in a repeated pattern of relationships and wish to talk it through with someone. Psychotherapy is a safe and private space that gradually helps in becoming more aware of yourself. The relationship with the therapist gradually helps in understanding how to do things differently, make better choices, and accept what cannot be changed.
