Shedding Light Counseling LLC

Shedding Light Counseling LLC

I believe that each person has the capability to live a full and happy life. I also believe that sometimes our circumstances present challenges that make managing through those challenges more difficult. Often times working with a counselor who is not involved in the challenge can provide a fresh new perspective.

About Us

I am the owner of a mental health counseling organization (Shedding Light Counseling) based in Brooksville, Florida. I offer a free initial consultation if you are unsure of your next steps. Additionally I provide coaching, conflict management, and mindfulness sessions using Cognitive Behavior Therapy. I am pro-integrative approaches to support mental health concerns with medical intervention reserved for a last resort.

Approach

When circumstances make moving forward feel heavy, I can facilitate small shifts that open new possibilities. Sessions are calm and focused—short check-ins on what landed, gentle exploration of patterns, and practical steps you can try between meetings while we review what changed. I use plain language and steady pacing so choices feel manageable, not overwhelming. People seeking clearer perspective and steady, collaborative support often find this way of working helpful.

Basic Information

Services

Utilizing Cognitive Behavior Therapy, I help individuals to explore both the nature of their problem as well as how their life experiences play a role in how one can or struggle to navigate both past and present day experiences. Through psychoeducation I assist individuals to gain insight that may have a more powerful affect on managing conflict (either internal or external). Knowledge IS power! Through empathetic listening, insightful evaluation, and psychoeducation I empower those individuals in my service.
