Serana

Dr Serana Chester

Clinical Psychologist

I provide both assessment and rehabilitation services to individuals with history of brain injury/neurological disease.

About Me

I help individuals navigate the complex changes that come with brain injury or neurological disease. My work begins with a careful assessment, understanding how these conditions impact your daily life. We then collaborate on practical strategies, guiding you to rebuild skills and adapt effectively. This process aims to help you regain confidence and manage daily challenges more easily.

Approach

Providing both assessment and rehabilitation to people with brain injury or neurological disease, I focus on translating test findings into clear, manageable steps for everyday life. In my San Francisco office, and in Spanish when helpful, sessions move at a steady, practical pace—brief check-ins, targeted skill practice, and structured problem-solving. Between visits I set simple exercises and notes to reinforce strategies, monitor progress, and adjust as memory, mood, or mobility change. This hands-on, collaborative rhythm tends to suit adolescents through older adults seeking practical progress.
