Counseling Psychologist

A compassionate, and caring psychologist offering psychotherapy and assessment. Experience in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy, and Person-centred therapy. I work with children over the age of 7, adolescents and adults. Passionate for gender-based violence and rural development.

About Me

As a compassionate and caring psychologist, I offer psychotherapy and assessment for children (7+), adolescents, and adults. We can explore your experiences together, using approaches like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Person-centred therapy. My passion for gender-based violence and rural development means I am attuned to the unique challenges faced by individuals in these communities. I offer a supportive space for you to find clarity and healing.

Approach

Sessions focus on noticing patterns of thought, feeling and behaviour while remaining sensitive to gender-based and rural realities that shape your life. From my base in Makhanda I offer English and isiXhosa appointments, in-person and online, paced to meet children aged seven and older, teenagers and adults. I blend CBT, compassion-focused work and person-centred ways to build coping skills, calm shame and set practical steps between meetings. This style tends to help people dealing with anxiety, grief, relationship strain or abuse-related wounds.
