Ms Samantha Karpa

Psychotherapist

I work in dialogue between psychodynamic and person-centred therapy which means that I understand how even the smallest of issues can play such a huge part in what you may be feeling inside. We can work through this together, as I invite you to share your issues in a trusting, empathic, yet well-held space.

About Me

I offer a space where we can gently unravel how even small issues hold significant weight in your inner world. Drawing on psychodynamic and person-centred approaches, I work alongside you to explore these connections. This trusting, empathic environment is ideal if you seek deeper self-understanding. Here, you can find a clearer path forward. I invite you to share your experiences, knowing you are in a truly well-held space.

Approach

Sessions unfold gently, following what feels most pressing for you while I attend to the patterns beneath everyday concerns. In my Edinburgh practice and via secure online sessions in English, I hold a steady, attentive pace that leaves room for reflection during and between meetings. We then map how past hurts and present stresses appear in mood, relationships and coping—using reflective listening, clarification and timely observations so you can begin to shift stuck responses. Many adults facing loss, anxiety, anger or addictive patterns find this pace helpful.
