About Me

Hello! I am Rutuja T (she/her) , psychotherapist and an academic based in Mumbai, India. This is my fourth year of professional practice. I hold a Master's in Applied Psychology (with a Clinical Psychology major) from the University Department of Applied Psychology, University of Mumbai. I am committed to fostering a trauma-sensitive, affirming environment where clients from all backgrounds can heal, explore, and grow.

Approach

In our journey together, I am here to support you through a broad spectrum of challenges, whether you’re navigating trauma, processing grief, fostering personal growth, understanding neurodivergence, or working through psychopathy. Additionally, I work closely with clients facing relational dynamics, intrapersonal and interpersonal struggles, work-related stress, and questions of identity, especially when impacted by marginalisation. I incorporate the following intervention systems based on your personality, concerns and therapy goals: psychodynamic, humanistic-existential, behavioural, trauma-informed, multicultural, CBT-REBT, DBT, queer-affirmative, and Gestalt, we will tailor a path that resonates with your unique needs, empowering you to move forward with resilience and a deeper connection to your sense of self. Additionally, I am a queer-affirmative counselling practitioner and hold an advanced diploma in Early Childhood Care and Education. I communicate in English, Marathi, Hindi, and Indian Sign Language.
