Mrs Rashmi Agarwal

Psychologist

I am a competent, compassionate, and ethically grounded psychologist who offers a non-judgmental and unbiased therapeutic space. As an active and deeply attentive listener, I strive to understand each client’s unique story with empathy, sensitivity, and respect. I hold a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology and have completed certifications in Trauma-Informed Care, Premarital Counseling, Couple Counseling, Adolescent Counseling, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). I also work as a Parenting Coach, supporting families in building healthier emotional connections. I honor and respect all cultures, religions, and belief systems, and I am committed to creating an inclusive environment where every individual feels safe, valued, and empowered to grow.

About Me

I bring a grounded, insightful, and growth-oriented presence into my therapeutic work. My approach balances emotional depth with practical strategies, helping clients build self-awareness while also developing tangible coping skills. I believe in fostering autonomy, healthy boundaries, and emotional responsibility, while offering steady compassion and reassurance. Committed to continuous learning and self-reflection, I aim to support not just symptom relief, but long-term resilience and meaningful personal growth

Approach

I practice an eclectic approach, intentionally drawing from different therapeutic models to tailor the process to each client’s unique personality, struggles, and life context—rather than fitting the client into one fixed framework. At the core of my work is a humanistic philosophy: I deeply believe in your inherent capacity for growth, resilience, and self-healing. My role is to offer a safe, compassionate, and non-judgmental space where insight, authenticity, and meaningful change can naturally unfoldYou’ll find sessions that start with attentive listening and gentle curiosity, shifting into practical, step‑by‑step work paced to what feels manageable for you. In Mumbai or online, in English or Hindi/Urdu, we move between conversation, brief assessments and creative tasks — sometimes art-based — to piece together patterns and safety strategies informed by trauma-aware and CBT approaches. Between sessions I suggest small, realistic practices to build momentum. This way of working tends to suit families, adolescents and older adults seeking steady, respectful progress.
