Licensed Clinical Psychologists

Registered Clinical Psychologist based in Cape Town, practicing in-person and online - Working with adolescents and adults.

About Me

I am a licensed clinical psychologist based in Gardens, Western Cape, South Africa. I treat anxiety, mood disorders, trauma, grief and eating disorders. I provide Jungian analysis, play therapy, online therapy and advocacy.

Approach

My style as a therapist is largely Integrative. As an Integrative Psychologist, I strive to utilise the most appropriate therapeutic techniques and styles to suit how each unique individual presents. I strongly resist forcing the inidviduals, groups and families I work with into a specific therapeutic “box”, and prefer to co-create our therapeutic space as a team. That being said, I am informed by Psychodynamic Theory - Jungian Analysis sits at the heart of my practice, incorporating Object Relations Theory and Attachment Theory. Developmental Theory also underpins much of my work, as it assists in contextualizing one’s stage of life across one’s lifespan in relation to where one has come from and where one is going. When appropriate, I utilise Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Gestalt Therapy. I incorporate creative elements into my therapeutic environment such as Play, Music and Art (with all age groups!) should one be willing and open.

Alongside what I have described as my therapeutic stance, as a Psychologist I aim to create a warm, welcoming and safe space for you. Ethical standards for care and treatment are of the utmost importance to me, and you will experience such.
