About Me

I am a Counseling Psychologist licensed as a Counsellor/Psychologist in Bangalore, Karnataka. I help adolescents and adults manage anxiety, mood disorders, divorce transitions, and LGBTQI+ concerns. I offer counseling, trauma counseling, relationship counseling, and coaching in short, practical sessions.

Approach

As a psychotherapist, I’ve seen many clients hesitate to start work on their mental health. It’s intimidating to see a new therapist, and vulnerability is a hard thing to ask for. My Solution : Take it slow and believe that through patience, consistency, and a mutual respect & understanding, we’ll tackle stressors from your relationships, family, and work life. My clients would feel comfortable unpacking trauma that helps inform them of their daily emotions and reactions. This is where we see real growth! Therapy with me would feel like a safe space... To communicate your thoughts and feelings in ways which help you feel understood and more intimate within your relationships Opportunity for a genuine and authentic relationship towards self-exploration and self-discovery. To be listened to, heard and supported with respect to your values and identity. Develop concrete strategies and techniques to manage and thrive in daily life. To explore why you feel dissatisfied or hurt within some of your relationships, and identify the changes that would help you feel better. (If you care about the more clinical stuff like my treatment modality, I practice from a generally integrated approach, and I pull primarily from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy with some Motivational Interviewing and Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT) thrown in there. Feel free to ask more questions about this if you'd like!

Basic Information

Services

Deciding to take therapy is the first step towards 'Self - Care' and valuing your needs.

When we meet first, I'll ask about your life and find out more about you and what you expect from therapy. This will help me determine if I am a good therapist for you and will allow you to decide if you want to work with me

I decide a therapy plan based on the need and problem of the client.

My therapy has yielded positive results in just few sessions (3 to 4 sessions in most cases). In very few cases its gone to few months or maybe a year or more, (depending on the type of problem or need ). A client may visit me once a week or once a fortnight depending on the intensity.

In therapy, we'll spend a lot of time talking and reflecting on what you say in ways that help you come to a deep understanding of where you are, the emotions you are experiencing, and how to move forward. I bring in certain Mindfulness techniques as a part of coping strategies.

I hold the Diploma in Counseling and M.Sc in Applied Psychology apart from being a certified Life Coach
