Mrs Pauli Geldenhuis

Counseling Psychologist

Somatic body-based psychotherapist with extensive training and experience in Trauma - PTSD, C-PTSD, Developmental, Depression, Anxiety etc

About Me

I guide individuals through somatic body-based psychotherapy, addressing the deep impacts of trauma like PTSD, C-PTSD, and developmental experiences. We explore how anxiety and depression manifest physically, tuning into your body’s wisdom for release. This approach offers a grounded pathway to reconnect with inner resources. Clients discover lasting calm and resilience, learning to navigate overwhelming feelings with greater safety.

Approach

Sessions move between attending to what the body signals and creating small, safe shifts in sensation, tracking how tension, breath and posture connect to past hurts and present triggers. I meet people in Somerset West or online, in English or Afrikaans, keeping a steady, paced rhythm that feels contained yet exploratory. Through guided attention, gentle movement and focused imagery we interrupt stuck nervous patterns and practice new responses; between sessions you’ll get brief, doable exercises to strengthen those gains. This approach often helps adolescents and adults seeking embodied relief from trauma, anxiety or transitions.
