Dr Nyambeni Matamela

Licensed Clinical Psychologists

As a Clinical Psychologist with over a decade of experience, I am dedicated to providing compassionate, evidence-based therapy to support healing and resilience.

About Me

I believe in creating a safe space where you feel truly heard and understood. Together, we explore challenges, drawing on proven, evidence-based approaches to help you navigate difficulties. My aim is to partner with you, fostering practical tools and understanding for lasting inner strength. This compassionate, grounded approach is ideal for those seeking resilience and personal growth.

Approach

Supporting recovery and inner strength shapes how I structure sessions, with practical pacing and collaborative goal-setting that honours your rhythm. Whether we meet in my Pretoria office or online in English, Sesotho or Tshivenda, I keep sessions focused and gently paced to suit adolescents, adults and couples alike. We use targeted assessments, reflective dialogue and short mindfulness or practice tasks between meetings to track progress and build coping skills for anxiety, trauma or relationship strain. This way of working suits those seeking steady, practical change.
