Mrs Novlette Alexander

Registered Social Worker

I have over 25 years experience working with mental health, families, children, adults, crisis intervention, mediation, cultural identity and oppression. I utilize a systemic, strength based, trauma informed culturally sensitive approach. I offer individual adult therapy in person, virtually or telephone.

About Me

I support adults navigating complex challenges, drawing on over 25 years’ experience with mental health and crisis. My systemic, trauma-informed approach helps you explore personal strengths. I specialise in cultural identity and oppression, offering a safe, culturally sensitive space. Individual therapy is available in person, virtually, or by telephone, ensuring accessible, supportive care. This flexible delivery allows for therapy to fit your life.

Approach

I work with you by setting clear, practical goals and moving at a steady pace that respects your comfort and cultural context. In sessions we focus on noticing patterns, practising small skills, and naming strengths; between meetings I often suggest short exercises or reflections to keep progress manageable. I draw on acceptance-based methods and mindfulness to help tolerate difficult feelings while you try new ways of coping and relating. This approach suits adults facing life transitions, stress, relationship strain or parental and reproductive challenges.
