Dr Naomi Gibson

Clinical Psychologist

I am a passionate, experienced, English speaking Clinical Psychologist. I work with individuals and families facing a range of difficulties. I specialise in supporting parents (and parents to be) through challenges related to early parenting eg. birth trauma, mood and relationship changes following birth.

About Me

I am an experienced Clinical Psychologist, dedicated to helping individuals and families navigate the unique challenges of early parenthood. Many parents (and parents-to-be) face unexpected shifts, like birth trauma, mood changes, or new relationship dynamics. My aim is to offer a calm, supportive space where you can openly explore these feelings. We work together to understand your experiences, fostering clarity and resilience during this significant life stage.

Approach

Many parents arrive feeling unsettled after birth or during pregnancy; I help map those experiences into manageable steps, balancing careful assessment with practical emotional work. Based in Amsterdam, I offer English-speaking face-to-face and online appointments paced to fit busy family life. Sessions are focused and collaborative — we gently examine birth memories, mood shifts and changing relationship patterns, with brief between-session reflections or simple tasks when helpful. This way of working often suits parents and couples seeking clear, compassionate support through early parenting transitions.
