Mr Mike Candon

Psychotherapist

Psychotherapist and Counsellor. Private practice. General but specialist in childhood abuse, emotional, physical, sexual and adoption.

About Me

I offer a calm, confidential space to gently explore complex past experiences, particularly those stemming from childhood abuse or adoption. Many clients find relief here, making sense of how these events shape their present. I guide individuals towards understanding and healing difficult emotions. We work together to build resilience and find a way forward. My approach is for anyone seeking to process deep-seated emotional, physical, or sexual trauma.

Approach

Working in private practice with a specialist focus on early-life harm and adoption-related loss, sessions slow the pace so difficult memories and feelings can be contained and explored safely. I meet adults, couples and older clients in Ballina-Killaloe, County Tipperary, conducting therapy in English in a calm, consistent room. We trace patterns between past hurts and present anxiety, relationship or addictive responses, combining reflective conversation with grounding steps to use between sessions. This way of working suits those ready to understand their history and build steadier choices.
