Mr Michael Rono

Counseling Psychologist

An experienced, competent Adolescent psychologist working predominantly with Adolescents

About Me

As an experienced Counseling Psychologist, I specialise in supporting adolescents. I understand the unique challenges young people face. From school stress to navigating friendships, these years can feel overwhelming. I create a safe, understanding space for teenagers. Here, they can openly explore feelings and discover practical ways to cope. We'll work together to build resilience, helping them navigate this crucial stage of life with confidence.

Approach

Therapy here moves at the adolescent’s pace, combining focused talk with short, practical steps so young people feel understood and in control. I offer sessions in Nakuru and online, in English or Kiswahili, and start with careful assessment to shape clear, manageable goals. In-session we practise coping skills, check progress between meetings with brief tasks, and involve caregivers when it helps keep changes steady. Teenagers dealing with school pressure, mood shifts or substance concerns often find this straightforward, hands-on way of working helpful.
