Ms Marichen Klaver

Educational Psychologist

I specialise in working with children, adolescents and young adults and use an integrative holistic approach in my therapy and assessments.

About Me

I support children, adolescents, and young adults as they navigate life's complexities. My educational psychology background helps me understand the unique challenges at different developmental stages. Through therapy and comprehensive assessments, I use an integrative holistic approach. This means we explore all aspects of their world, helping them build inner resources. Together, we find their way forward with clarity.

Approach

Sessions focus on gently mapping each young person's world, noticing stress points, strengths and small patterns that shape daily life. From my Cape Town practice I offer therapy in Afrikaans and English, blending creative tasks, targeted assessments and concise feedback, with practical ideas to try between meetings. In-session pacing is calm and collaborative—art, questions and short tasks help us translate feelings into manageable steps while parents join when useful. This approach tends to help families seeking clear, compassionate direction through change.
