From my Nairobi office or via secure online meetings in English or Kiswahili, I balance open listening with gentle reflection, checking patterns and using brief, structured ways to clarify what keeps you stuck. Between sessions you may try short, practical experiments we agree on and we review what shifts. This way of working suits adolescents and adults seeking clear, compassionate support through anxiety, trauma or mood struggles.
Like any relationship, the one you create with your therapist takes work.
You know you've got a good fit when you feel safe, and listened to. There may be some challenges, but objectivity must remain.
If you pick one and you aren't happy let them know. They'll help you explore solutions.
Talk about it with your new therapist. We don't want that happening again.
