Ms Luisa Dos Ramos

Counseling Psychologist

I believe that people's lives are affected by their connection to past events, relationship patterns and self-perceptions. I aim to foster a safe, non-judgmental and supportive space for self-discovery and healing. I work with clients using psychodynamic and eclectic approaches.

About Me

When past events, relationship patterns, or self-perceptions feel overwhelming, I offer a space to explore their impact. I aim to foster a safe, non-judgmental environment for your self-discovery. Using psychodynamic and eclectic approaches, we can gently uncover patterns and find new ways forward. This helps clients seeking deeper understanding and lasting healing, fostering a more authentic self.

Approach

When earlier experiences feel overwhelming I attend to the small, lived moments that keep old patterns alive, helping you notice links between memory, feeling and behaviour. I offer sessions in English, both in Roodepoort and online, keeping a steady, predictable pace so you can feel contained while we explore difficult material. We mine what emerges in-session and between sessions—thoughts, dreams, bodily signals—and use brief experiments, reflection and gentle interpretation to shift stuck responses. Those seeking clearer self-understanding and steadier emotion regulation often find this way of working helpful.
