La Vie Counseling Center

La Vie Counseling Center

Psychiatrist

non-profit counseling center helping individuals and marriages since 1980. We have 40 therapists, sliding scale and two locations.

About Us

We are a psychiatric practice in Pasadena, California, serving children, adolescents, and families. We provide child and adolescent therapy, relationship counseling, psychodynamic psychotherapy, and psychiatric diagnostic assessments in a confidential clinical setting.

Approach

Rooted in decades of community care, we focus on practical, paced sessions that balance observation and gentle exploration so people — individuals, parents, couples and teens — leave with clearer steps. In our Pasadena offices and during Spanish- or English-language meetings, clinicians set a steady rhythm: assess, reflect, try small changes between sessions, then review what shifted. Sessions are collaborative and often blend longer inquiry with short-term goals, tailored quietly to each family’s pace. Those wanting thoughtful, steady progress tend to find this approach helpful.
