Ms Kate Ogutu

Professional Counselor

Compassionate counselor and trainer with expertise in mental health, SRHR, and GBV support. Skilled in guiding individuals, couples, and communities through healing and empowerment using evidence-based techniques like CBT and trauma-informed care. Committed to fostering resilience and holistic well-being.

About Me

Navigating challenges in mental health, SRHR, or GBV can feel overwhelming. I offer a compassionate space for individuals, couples, and communities to find support and healing. We'll explore your needs collaboratively, using evidence-based techniques like trauma-informed care. This fosters resilience and provides practical tools for holistic well-being. Together, we can guide you towards a clearer path.

Approach

My practice focuses on complex challenges such as sexual and reproductive concerns, trauma-related distress, and relationship strain, and I aim to make the path forward clear and manageable. In Nairobi I work in English and Kiswahili and offer in-person and online sessions that feel paced to your needs—steady, practical, and collaborative—with short check-ins or reflections between meetings when helpful. Sessions blend cognitive strategies, grounding and safety-focused methods, and coaching to build skills you can use day to day. This approach suits people facing abuse, loss, or major life change.
