Ms Kate Newby

Counselor

As a trauma-informed counsellor, I provide a compassionate space where individuals can process their emotions, regain balance, and find strength amid life’s challenges. My experience lies in grief and loss, life changes, relationship challenges, identity issues, anxiety, and stress.

About Me

When life feels overwhelming, I offer a compassionate space to gently explore difficult emotions. I help individuals navigate grief, major life transitions, and relationship hurdles. We also address anxiety and identity issues, supporting you to regain balance and discover inner strength. You can process your experiences at your own pace here. Together, we move towards a clearer sense of self and a more settled way forward.

Approach

Sessions move at a steady, gentle pace that honours your timing and curiosity, inviting small experiments between meetings to build confidence. I offer clear, practical reflections and collaborative goal-setting to untangle grief, transition-related overwhelm, and anxious patterns without pushing beyond what feels manageable. Much of the work balances talk with short practices you can try at home, then we bring observations back to inform next steps. This way of working often suits adults facing change, identity shifts, or burnout who want thoughtful, paced support.
