Katarina Guillen-Spencer

Registered Psychotherapist

Hello! If you would like to create meaningful change towards your goals, build skills to approach your life more compassionately, build your relationships, understand yourself and your needs better, please reach out to book a consultation to see if I might be the right fit for you.

About Me

I provide a warm, collaborative space where you can create meaningful change towards your personal goals. We will explore practical ways to build skills, approach life with more compassion, and strengthen your relationships. My aim is for you to gain a deeper understanding of yourself and your needs. This approach is ideal for anyone ready to gently navigate challenges and foster lasting growth.

Approach

When you reach out, therapy moves at a steady, practical pace that balances gentle curiosity with hands-on skill practice. In my Toronto office I work in English and German, tailoring sessions so we notice patterns, try small in-between-session experiments, and use mindfulness and acceptance tools to reduce anxiety or shame and strengthen connection with others. Sessions typically include brief check-ins, focused skill rehearsal, and collaboratively chosen homework that feels doable. This way of working tends to suit people ready for steady, compassionate progress.
