Ms Kari D'Amato

Licensed Professional Counselor

The focus of my practice is helping adolescents and young adults struggling with issues of anxiety, depression, and panic disorders, I can also help with PTSD, trauma, OCD, self-harm, self-esteem issues and struggles with sexual orientation and identity. Using the CBT, ACT, DBT, and EMDR.

About Me

I help adolescents and young adults navigate difficult feelings like anxiety, depression, and panic. When emotions feel overwhelming, we can work together to understand them, building practical tools to regain balance. Our sessions offer a steady space to safely explore past trauma, self-esteem, or identity questions. Here, you can discover your own path to confidence and clarity.

Approach

When emotions run high, I help you notice patterns and name what feels most urgent, then shape that awareness into small, manageable steps. In Overland Park or through secure online sessions in English, we keep a steady, predictable pace—mixing brief skills practice, focused processing of past hurts, and experiments that test new ways of relating. Between sessions you may try short, concrete exercises to build momentum and safety. This way of working tends to fit adolescents and young adults looking for clearer coping, steadier mood, and firmer sense of self.
