Mr Lawrence Kalogreades MA, MSc, PGDip, ECP

Welcome, I'm Lawrence! I run a private practice in Limassol, Cyprus, where I assist individuals, as well as couples and families, to find new and more productive ways to overcome old problems.

Things are always more complex than they seem, and I love helping people think about how they think. This way we can see that things aren’t always black and white, and that there are more options available than we may have initially imagined.

Therapy is more helpful when we are open and genuine, which is why I bring my real self to each and every meeting. I invest myself fully in building a collaborative environment together, where we can change things for the better. I believe in the strengths and best hopes of the people I meet, and it is truly an honor for me to be able to experience first-hand so many examples of people who do their best to overcome the odds and change their lives. Seeing people believe in themselves and use their hidden strength is perhaps the most inspiring thing in the world for me.

I have spent alot of time over the past 15+ years conducting research, giving lectures, and writing. I enjoy sharing some of my thoughts on my website (www.kalogreades.com), Facebook (www.facebook.com/kalogreades) and Instagram (@kalogreades).

I hold the European Certificate of Psychotherapy, issued by the European Association for Psychotherapy, which certifies that my training and experience fulfil the professional criteria for psychotherapists all over the continent.

I earned my Bachelor's degree in psychology, magna cum laude, at San Diego State University (USA), a Master's degree in clinical and abnormal psychology at Swansea University (UK), and a Master's degree in neuroscience at Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam (NL). I additionally completed post-graduate training in systemic psychotherapy at the Systemic Institute of Cyprus (CY).

I have been appointed as a Member of the Governing Board of the Pancyprian Association for Psychotherapists, so if you have any questions regarding psychotherapy in Cyprus, please feel free to contact me.

When not at my practice, you will most likely find me listening to heavy music, lifting heavy objects, or reading heavy leather-bound books, so if you happen to run into me somewhere, come and say hello!
