Approach

Dr Grace has a 30-year career in health and social care. Early experiences sparked his interest in trauma, psychological distress and addiction. He spent seven years as an NHS Addictions Counsellor, gaining training in Rogerian Counselling, Motivational Interviewing, and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT). He completed his psychology degree in 2009 (First Class Hons) and, in 2012, started a Professional Doctorate in Clinical Psychology, further training in CBT, Psychodynamics, and Systemic Therapy. Postdoctoral training includes Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Systemic Therapy (ST), and Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Therapy (AEDT) - also known as ISTDP. In 2009 he was awarded the Jerome Bruner Prize in Social Psychology.

I also have extensive experience of working with personality and mood issues/diagnoses. e.g. dissociation, EUPD.
