Mr James Jones

Social Worker (Mental Health)

I utilize the Gottman approach to couples counseling and EMDR to help with PTSD, anxiety and depression. I am also trained in EFT with couples.

About Me

This practice guides individuals and couples through emotional challenges. For those facing PTSD, anxiety, or depression, EMDR offers a path to process difficult experiences. Couples can strengthen their bond and communication using established methods like the Gottman approach and EFT. A supportive space helps clients build practical tools for greater calm and connection.

Approach

Sessions move between focused trauma processing and hands-on work for relationships, alternating paced, eye‑movement–friendly interventions with skill-building exercises that target how you feel and connect. Based in Evansville, I offer both in-person and telehealth sessions in English, keeping structure clear and homework realistic so progress continues between appointments. In-session, we track safety, emotional activation, and practical communication moves, adjusting pace to what you can tolerate. This approach often fits people seeking steady relief from trauma symptoms and clearer, kinder partnerships.
