Mrs Jessica Morris

Licensed Associate Professional Counselor

My primary focus is working with individuals struggling with anxiety, relationship issues, weight and body image, disordered eating and addiction. I use CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness, and other tools to help clients overcome and move past behaviors that aren’t contributing to their personal growth.

About Me

I am a Licensed Associate Professional Counselor in Coronado, California. I treat addiction, anxiety, mood disorders, and eating disorders. I offer online and individual therapy, CBT, and coaching to support personal development.

Approach

When anxiety or compulsive habits arrive, I help clients map patterns and try small, practical shifts that feel manageable and measurable. In sessions in Coronado or online (English), we move between focused skill practice, curiosity about urges and choices, and brief reflections to carry into the week—often slowing the body first to change the thinking. Work is collaborative and paced to fit your rhythm, and people seeking clearer choices around eating, relationships, or substance use usually find this steady, practical stance helpful.

I’m passionate about helping those seeking change in their lives to achieve their goals. My education in multi-cultural counseling and social justice means that I approach each individual with empathy and awareness when it comes to navigating learning differences, racial and gender identities, and trauma history. I understand we each have our own story and challenges, making the recovery and healing process unique for each of us. I help clients to identify and achieve small-scale, doable goals which build a foundation for lasting change.

My primary focus is working with individuals struggling with addiction, trauma, weight and body image, disordered eating, depression, and anxiety. Congratulations on your willingness to create change in your life! You’ve taken the first step. I know firsthand the pain and struggle that can result from trauma and self-destructive behaviors.
