Ms Jessica Galea Quirolo, MPsych

Psychotherapist (Registered)

I am a Warranted Gestalt Psychotherapist and Counselling Psychology Practitioner offering a warm, reflective space where you can pause, explore, and reconnect with yourself.

About Me

I am Jessica, a psychotherapist, but also a wife, a mother, and someone who finds meaning in life’s quieter moments... nature, creativity, and the small things that often go unnoticed. With over nine years of experience across hospitals, NGOs, and private practice, I have accompanied individuals through a range of challenges, including illness, grief, trauma, emotional overwhelm, and life transitions. My background includes a Master’s in Counselling Psychology and a Master’s in Gestalt Psychotherapy, and my work is deeply rooted in a relational and person-centred way of being. What guides me most is a genuine passion for walking alongside people as they reconnect with themselves ... especially in those moments where we begin to ask, “Who am I now?” and “What truly matters to me?” Outside the therapy room, you will often find me in nature, with my family and friends, or in the quiet company of Mae, my unofficial (and very unlicensed) co-therapist.

Approach

My approach is grounded in Gestalt Psychotherapy, with a strong emphasis on awareness, presence, and the therapeutic relationship. Alongside this, my training in Counselling Psychology informs a holistic understanding of each individual within their broader life context, integrating emotional, cognitive, and relational perspectives. I believe that our experiences live not only in our thoughts, but also in our bodies, in our breath, posture, and sensations. In our work together, I gently integrate body awareness, grounding, and mindfulness, supporting you to deepen your understanding of yourself and your experiences. I also work creatively where helpful, using dreams, imagery, metaphor, and other expressive tools when words alone are not enough. My approach also considers the impact of early experiences and “inner child” work, supporting clients in understanding how past relationships and emotional patterns may shape their present difficulties. Overall, at the heart of what I provide is a space where curiosity, compassion, and authenticity can unfold. I firmly believe that therapy is not about “fixing,” but about creating space to explore, make meaning, and move towards greater wholeness.
