Ms Janice Bryer

Licensed Professional Counselor

I am an experienced licensed psychotherapist with extensive experience and training working with PTSD including EMDR certification .

About Me

I understand how deeply past experiences can affect daily life. As an experienced psychotherapist, I guide individuals through the complexities of PTSD. Using techniques like EMDR, we can gently process difficult memories together. This approach helps you find a path towards greater calm and resilience. I aim to offer a safe, collaborative space where you feel truly heard.

Approach

Sessions move at a steady, paced rhythm that blends focused memory work with body awareness in my Hoboken office, English-language sessions tailored to how you tolerate and make meaning of experience. I use structured bilateral processing, mindful somatic noticing and short reflective practices so painful moments can be contained, explored, and reworked between meetings at a manageable pace. Check-ins guide the tempo—you're invited to set limits and test new responses safely. Adults navigating trauma, anxiety, burnout or spiritual questions often find this practical, paced approach helpful.
