Mr James Valinoti

Professional Nurse

I treat clients across the lifespan and a sub-specialization in child and adolescents and addiction medicine. I am very client-focused and develop unique treatment plans and I make the experience a positive, supportive, and at times fun one. I am very clinical, but I remove the "clinical feeling" from the experience.

About Me

I guide children, adolescents, and adults through life's challenges. With a special focus on addiction, my approach is deeply client-focused. We’ll develop a unique treatment plan tailored just for you. While my background is clinical, I ensure our sessions feel warm, supportive, and at times even fun. This creates a comfortable, human-centred space for you to explore your needs and make positive progress.

Approach

Sessions move with clear structure and a human touch: we set focused goals, blend clinical assessment with playful, practical steps, and adjust pace to what feels right for you. Based in New York, I meet in English both in-person and by telehealth, creating a consistent, low-friction space for work between visits. Expect brief skill practice, mindfulness exercises, coaching-style problem-solving and regular check-ins to track what’s helping. People balancing addiction, attention, mood or family challenges often find this steady, flexible way of working useful.
