Mr James Gower

Counseling Psychologist

I am a counselling psychologist in private practice, with a focus on Adolescents, Adults, Couples, Individuals, Children (10+).

About Me

As a Counseling psychologist, I offer a supportive space where you can explore life's challenges. I work with adolescents, adults, couples, and individuals, including children aged ten and older. Together, we will make sense of what feels difficult and find practical ways forward. My aim is to foster understanding and well-being, moving at your own pace.

Approach

Within a calm, predictable setting in Alberton I guide conversations that balance understanding with action, speaking in English or Afrikaans and meeting face-to-face. Sessions move at a pace you choose—sometimes reflective and exploratory, sometimes focused on small, practical steps to manage emotional difficulties, transitions and strained relationships. Between meetings I may suggest brief exercises or reflections you can try, and together we review what helps and adjust as needed. This approach suits adolescents, adults and couples seeking clear support and steady progress.
