Mr Jacques Du Plessis
Wellness Counselor
“I am an ASCHP-designated Holistic Counsellor and full-time counsellor who provides a supportive and confidential space where individuals and couples can explore the challenges they are experiencing and develop practical tools for moving forward. My approach is holistic and person-centred, recognising that emotional wellbeing can be influenced by our thoughts, emotions, relationships, experiences, behaviours, and broader life circumstances. I draw from approaches including Gestalt-informed counselling, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotional Intelligence, and practical emotional regulation strategies. I work with clients experiencing challenges such as relationship difficulties, emotional distress, anxiety and stress, anger and conflict, grief and loss, relationship breakdown, self-esteem concerns, identity, and personal development. My focus is not simply on understanding what has happened, but also on helping clients develop greater self-awareness, recognise patterns, identify what is within their influence, and build practical skills that can be applied in everyday life. Counselling is a collaborative process. My role is to support you as you explore your experiences, gain new perspectives, and develop the tools and confidence to move forward in a way that is meaningful to you. Whether you are navigating a difficult season, working through relationship challenges, or simply wanting to better understand yourself and your emotional patterns, I offer a supportive space to begin that process. ”
