Basic Information

Services

Hi! My name is Isha and I am so excited to work with you. I am currently a counselling psychologist based in Bangalore offering online psychotherapy to individuals 16+.

I graduated with my Master's of Social Work, a clinical degree, in the US in 2022 and then spent time in community mental health working with the severely mentally ill. After that, I moved to India and started my practice where I have had success working with individuals with a diverse range of issues including anxiety, depression, trauma, work stress, caregiving, grief and loss, and highly sensitive people.

The Therapeutic Relationship

I strongly believe in the power of human connections and relationships. Through consistent work with one therapist, an individual can really blossom and grow thanks to the encouragement, hope, and belief the therapist has in the client, as well as proven interventions to heal from psychopathology. Humans were never supposed to be doing life alone, and the therapeutic relationship plays a role in modeling how other relationships can go.

My therapeutic approach

I use an integrative approach. I draw upon psychoanalysis, identifying the root cause of your concerns, whether that's childhood experiences or related to relationships and events in the recent past. Mental health affects not only the mind, but also the body, and I use somatic (body-based) approaches in conjunction with talk therapy to help heal issues. In terms of talk therapy, I utilize an IFS approach, which consists of inner child healing and integrating fragmented parts in the individual. I also use mindfulness and grounding techniques drawing from Buddhism, yoga, DBT, and ACT.

I offer spiritual counseling to individuals new to spirituality and questioning where their beliefs lie. I also help guide individuals going through spiritual awakenings.
