Dr Jinnie Jeon

Art Therapist

Registered art therapist and registered clinical counsellor working primarily with older adults.

About Me

I guide older adults to explore life's transitions and feelings through creative expression. As a registered art therapist and clinical counsellor, I offer a gentle, accessible space. We can process experiences without needing words. Using art materials, we reflect on memories, navigate change, or find calm. This approach supports those seeking new ways to understand their journey and connect with their inner world.

Approach

Sessions with older adults tend to unfold at a quiet, steady pace, inviting paint, collage or simple mark-making to surface memories and emotions when words are hard to find. In my Burnaby office or online, I match pace and sensory needs, offering choices of materials and prompts while we reflect together during and after sessions. Between meetings, gentle creative exercises can cue reflection without pressure. This approach often helps those navigating transitions, memory changes, or grief to feel understood and more grounded.
