Ms Hannya Melrose

Psychotherapist

I am an experienced body-oriented therapist working with individuals, couples & groups. I have a particular interest in working with trauma.

About Me

I am an experienced body-oriented psychotherapist, offering support to individuals, couples, and groups. My particular interest lies in helping clients navigate the lasting effects of trauma. We can gently explore how experiences live in the body, finding ways to release tension and build strength. This approach allows for a deeper processing, helping you move towards greater ease and presence in your life.

Approach

Together we attend to how memories and stress show up as posture, breath and small sensations, using curiosity rather than force to make those signals intelligible. In my Stroud consulting room or via English-language online sessions I pace work gently—short grounding practices, mindful tracking, and movement or breathing experiments that feel safe—then fold discoveries into simple between-session anchors. The focus is on building felt resources, tolerating change in manageable steps and strengthening relational patterns. This approach often helps people navigating trauma, loss or chronic health shifts find steadier footing.
