I have been engaged in helping couples rediscover the spark in their relationships and have helped them rework and rediscover their relationship patterns and help them envision and live a beautiful life together. I use an eclectic approach in psychotherapy. My approach is grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy with a focus on Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Emotion- Focussed Therapy. I believe in the combined use of various modalities in therapy based on the unique need of each client who approaches me. Although I am a trained Cognitive behaviour Therapist, I believe in the role of Psychoanalysis in understanding where the client comes from and what are the elements from his or her childhood, upbringing and the social- cultural context which would define him as a person and would help us in exploring his difficulties while providing him a safe space in therapy.
The therapeutic frame that I use in my practise is grounded in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy . I focus on identifying and understanding the dysfunctional belief system which has been disrupting the life of my clients. My aim as a therapist is to provide a safe space for my clients where we can together idenify the dysfunctional beliefs and patterns in their lives and work together in challenging the existing beliefs and rework on reframing their beliefs and thoughts processes and help them cope effectively and overcome the obstacles in their lives. In my sessions with couples, understanding the dysfunctional patterns and helping them identify and create secure patterns of attachment in their relationship, while providing a safe space for them is the goal of my therapy.
