Ms Elaine Bond

Professional Counselor

Life often throws us a curve ball, something painful, unexpected, or devastating. We all have coping strategies and sometimes they can be unhealthy ones. I work with you to find alternative ways to work with any kind of issue. I am empathic and non-judgemental and experienced in working with all forms of trauma.

About Me

Life's unexpected challenges can leave us feeling overwhelmed, relying on unhelpful coping. I offer a compassionate, non-judgemental space where we can gently explore these difficulties. If you're grappling with trauma or any painful experience, I'm here to help you discover alternative, healthier ways forward. Together, we'll focus on practical steps to navigate your unique situation. My aim is for you to feel heard and supported throughout our sessions.

Approach

When things feel overwhelming I focus on practical, steady steps that feel doable rather than overwhelming change all at once. Sessions in Nottingham or online, in English, move at your pace: we notice patterns, try small experiments, use grounding and values-focused choices, and reflect on what shifts between meetings. Work is collaborative and concrete — sometimes short exercises, sometimes slower processing — always aimed at reducing shame and rebuilding safety after abuse or trauma. This approach often suits people seeking clear, compassionate support.
