Edesha Moodley

Registered Counselor

I am a HPCSA registered psychological counsellor in private practice working with adults and couples. My specific interest is grief, bereavement, trauma, Hiv/Aids, stress management and Learning assessments for scholastic difficulties.

About Me

I offer a supportive space for adults and couples navigating difficult life events. If you're coping with loss, managing overwhelming stress, or facing the impacts of trauma, I can help you find clarity and build resilience. My practice also provides focused learning assessments to understand scholastic difficulties. I believe in working collaboratively, supporting you to explore feelings and develop practical ways forward.

Approach

When we meet, sessions move at a steady, thoughtful pace that balances deep listening with gentle, practical steps so you can begin to organise what feels overwhelming. I work from my Pietermaritzburg office in English, offering focused, paced assessments and conversations that map how loss, stress or trauma show up in daily life. Between sessions I may suggest small experiments, brief written reflections or family check-ins to track progress and build skills. This way of working often helps people who want clear direction alongside compassionate support.
