Dr Maria Benito
Licensed Professional Counselor
“I am a qualified counsellor (MA in Counselling & Psychotherapy) and Psychologist working online, phone and face-to-face. I deal with anxiety, depression, domestic violence, suicide, parental support, bereavement, stress, trauma, relationships problems, divorce, illness, work-related issues; individuals and couples.”
About Me
I offer a confidential space to explore life's challenges, for individuals and couples. With extensive training, I guide clients through anxiety, stress, trauma, relationship difficulties, and loss. We can work together to understand your experiences and find clear ways forward. I provide support online, by phone, or in person, ensuring flexibility to suit your needs. My aim is to help you build resilience and navigate life with greater confidence.
Approach
When you come to sessions, we focus on practical steps alongside exploring what keeps distress in place, creating small experiments to shift patterns. Sessions happen in my Dublin consulting room or remotely via secure video or phone, and I work in English and Spanish to suit your needs. I use brief structured check-ins, careful exploration of trauma or loss, and clear between-session tasks that target low mood and anxious thinking. This way of working suits adults, parents and couples seeking steady, practical support.
