Miss Denisha September

Registered Counselor

I am a Registered Counselor (HPCSA). I have counselling experience with both Adults and Children, dealing with a wide range of issues. Issues ranging from trauma, gender-based violence, separation anxiety, depression and suicide prevention to mention a few.

About Me

I offer a supportive space for both adults and children navigating difficult emotions. Whether facing trauma, anxiety, or depression, I help you explore feelings and find ways forward. We can work together to understand your unique challenges, fostering resilience and promoting well-being. I create a calm, understanding environment where every voice is heard, helping you move towards greater stability.

Approach

When you bring painful memories or days that feel unmanageable, I gently map what matters most and move at a pace you can tolerate, balancing space to talk with practical grounding. I work from Sandton, offering sessions in English and Afrikaans, and can meet online when circumstances make that easier. Sessions often include assessment of safety and mood, brief skills practice for calm between meetings, and collaborative review so progress is clear. This way of working tends to help children and adults recovering from trauma, acute worry or bereavement.
