Miss Chevon Cawood

Clinical Psychologist

I believe in the power of human connection and empathy, and I am committed to building a strong therapeutic alliance with each client. I understand that seeking therapy can be a courageous step, and I deeply respect the vulnerability and trust that clients bring to therapy. Send me a message to book your free 50min assessment to see if we are a good fit.

About Me

I don’t think that there is a right or a wrong way to be a human. I know that life can be difficult and hard sometimes and I don’t believe that you have to go through it alone. I work with adults, couples, throuples and polycules in relationship- and individual therapy in Afrikaans and English. My mission is to empower humans to navigate challenging situations, improve their mental well-being, and achieve personal growth. I strongly believe that every person deserves the opportunity to lead a happy, balanced, and extraordinary life.

Approach

My approach to therapy is integrative, drawing from various evidence-based modalities such as existential therapy, psychodynamic therapy, person centred therapy, dialectical behavioural therapy, and mindfulness to name a few. I tailor my treatment plans to address the unique needs and goals of each client, ensuring that the therapy process is both effective and personalised.
