Mrs Chantel Retter

Registered Counselor

A registered Counsellor registered with HPCSA and BHF specialising in Adolescent and Family Counselling.

About Me

I offer a supportive space where adolescents and their families can navigate life's complexities together. My aim is to help young people find their voice, while guiding families to communicate more openly and build stronger connections. We can explore difficult emotions and develop practical ways to foster understanding. This is a place where every family member feels heard, fostering growth and resilience for all.

Approach

Specialising in adolescent and family work, I focus on small, concrete shifts that change daily interactions and ease tension at home. In sessions — in person in Cape Town or online in English — we move between short, focused conversations, guided activities and gentle check-ins to practice new ways of relating. I often suggest simple between-session tasks to try out what we explore and bring back what worked. This approach tends to suit families and young people who want practical, steady progress together.
