Ms Cebokazi Ngcakani-Mtati

Licensed Clinical Psychologists

I work with anxiety, depression, stress, grief, loss, trauma and phobias. I use BWRT, Cognitive Therapy and Psychodynamic approaches.

About Me

I offer a supportive space for those navigating anxiety, depression, stress, or the impacts of grief, loss, and trauma. As a clinical psychologist, I blend effective approaches like BWRT and Cognitive Therapy. We work to understand challenging patterns, exploring their roots and developing practical strategies. My aim is to guide you towards greater emotional resilience and a clearer path forward.

Approach

Guided by an emphasis on noticing patterns and building practical skills, I blend short, focused interventions with moments of reflective exploration to change how difficult reactions show up. Sessions in Cape Town are structured but conversational; I offer work in English and isiXhosa and provide remote appointments for those farther away. You can expect clear pacing, targeted practice between sessions, and collaborative review so insights translate into everyday choices. This approach tends to suit people and families wanting steady, tangible shifts in mood and functioning.
