Ms Cathrine Matesanwa

Counseling Psychologist

As a therapist with a BA in Psychology & Counselling and pursuing an MA in Clinical Psychology, I help adolescents and adults navigate anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. My eclectic approach, including assessments, empowers you to build coping skills in a supportive, stigma-free environment.

About Me

I am an Associate Counselor and psychologist based in Kajiado, Kenya. I work with you through life transitions and personal development. I use ACT, CBT, psychotherapy, and psychoanalysis in confidential sessions focused on clear goals.

Approach

I guide sessions to alternate between practical skill-building and deeper reflective exploration so you leave with both tools and insight. In my Ngong practice (Kajiado/Nairobi) we work in English in a calm, punctual setting that respects your time and confidentiality. I use brief assessments to track progress, invite experiments with small behavioural steps, and pause to explore recurring patterns or meanings between sessions. This way of working tends to suit adolescents, adults and couples wanting measurable change alongside personal growth.
