Dr Carolyn Smith Goings

Therapist / Counselor (Qualifying)

My virtual sessions are spiritually-integrated and client-centered for individuals or couples of all gender identities, sexual orientations, and ethnicities. My clients are of any faith or no faith. Many are mixed racial or in mixed racial relationships and raising mixed racial children. Tell me your story and goals.

About Me

In my virtual sessions, I offer a warm, client-centred space where your unique story is truly heard. We can gently explore your experiences, honouring all aspects of your identity and background. This spiritually-integrated approach is particularly supportive for individuals and couples from diverse ethnicities. It also deeply resonates with those in mixed racial relationships and families. Together, we will work to understand your goals and find ways forward.

Approach

With steady curiosity and gentle structure, I partner with you to explore meaning, faith, and identity while attending to practical steps for addiction, loss, adoption, or life change. Sessions are held online from Dyersburg in English, paced to your rhythm and often include brief between-session reflections or small practical exercises to try at home. I listen for patterns in family history and culture, helping you name values and experiment with new responses in relationships. This way of working tends to help people navigating blended-family dynamics, grief, or major transitions.
