Ms Carlien Serfontein

Registered Counselor

I welcome my clients with unconditional acceptance; meeting you at the point in your unique mental health journey, within your process, and at your pace.

About Me

I believe meaningful change blossoms when you feel truly heard and accepted. We'll work together to explore your unique journey, moving at your comfortable pace. My aim is to create a confidential space where you can openly voice your experiences without judgment. This gentle, client-led approach suits those seeking a deeply supportive partnership. Together, we can understand yourself better and find a path forward.

Approach

You’ll notice sessions move at your rhythm, beginning with simple, curious questions and steady reflections that honour what you bring. In Stellenbosch and online, in Afrikaans or English, I keep the environment calm and practical so we can focus on what matters between meetings as well as in them. We gently explore patterns—how trauma, grief, anger or relationship themes show up—using conversation, grounding and small experiments to try different ways of relating. This approach suits adolescents and adults seeking thoughtful, empathetic support.
