Licensed Psychologist

I am a clinical psychologist and Gestalt theraist. I try to tailor my method to each client, but tend to focus on mentalization, mindfulness, and self-acceptance, shifting between an analytical and humanistic-existential approach, often using experiential techniques and awareness of somatic processes.

About Me

I trained as a psychologist at the University of Belgrade, Faculty of Philosophy, and as a Gestalt therapist at the Belgrade Gestalt Institute. My work is integrative, drawing primarily from Gestalt therapy while incorporating insights from somatic approaches and psychoanalytic thinking. I enjoy continuing my education through reading, trainings, and supervision across different modalities. Before focusing exclusively on psychotherapy, I worked in humanitarian settings, providing psychological first aid as part of crisis intervention teams supporting displaced populations. I also completed a one-year internship at the Neurology Clinic, which gave me valuable experience working with people facing complex neurological and psychological challenges. Along the way, I've also worked in education and organizational development, experiences that continue to inform my therapeutic work. I have lived and worked in several countries, and these experiences sparked my interest in themes of belonging, identity, cultural adaptation, and life transitions. These topics became the focus of my final Gestalt therapy thesis, exploring the lived experience of expatriate life through a phenomenological lens. I am based in Barcelona, Spain, and currently offer only online psychotherapy.

Approach

I think one of the most important things in life is to aim to understand and love ourselves better. Clients don't often come to me with that goal, but our focus quickly tends to focus just there. This focus might even seem selfish to some, but I think that, in order to be able to love and understand others, it is imperative that we first learn how to do it with ourselves. I try to help clients understand their own thoughts, feelings, and behavriors better, in order to be able to have more flexibilty in how they approach themselves and their life's cisrumstances.
