Kumsal Kosar

Registered Social Worker

I work with adults and couples who feel stuck in patterns such as overthinking, emotional withdrawal, or recurring conflict. Many of my clients are navigating questions of identity, cultural expectations, burnout, or significant life transitions.

About Me

I am a Registered Social Worker and psychotherapist based in Toronto. As a first-generation immigrant and parent who transitioned from research to clinical practice, I understand how identity, culture, and life transitions can shape the way we experience ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us.

Approach

Using a relational, emotion-focused approach grounded in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), I help individuals and couples understand the underlying factors driving their patterns so they can respond more effectively, feel more secure, and build meaningful, lasting connections.
